BOGO Promotion Turned Nightmare: A Glitchy Site & Unbelievable 'Solution' 😡
I'm writing this to warn other potential buyers about my terrible online shopping experience. I was lured in by a promotion, but the whole thing turned out to be a complete mess. It feels dishonest, as the company doesn't honor promos and makes it impossible to collect an offer when their site is full of glitches. My experience concluded with a feeling that they have no real customer service and are completely unprofessional. I will NOT return and I do NOT recommend them. Their proposed "solution" was for me to return the glasses, even though they were the correct style and prescription, and then reorder to get the BOGO offer they messed up. A simple credit would have solved everything, but that was apparently too easy. I had to call them to try and get this simple, common-sense fix.
Customer: Hi, your website had a BOGO offer, but it glitched and charged me for both pairs of glasses. I need a refund for the second pair.
CS Rep: I'm very sorry for the trouble with the BOGO promotion. I understand you were charged incorrectly. Let me look into the options we have to resolve this for you.
Customer: It should be simple. Just credit the charge for the second pair back to my card. Your website made the mistake.
CS Rep: I understand your request, but our system requires that you return both pairs for a full refund. Then you can place the order again to have the BOGO discount applied correctly.
Customer: Are you serious? You want me to return perfect prescription glasses and reorder because YOU made a mistake? That's an insane and dishonest policy.
CS Rep: I do apologize for the inconvenience, sir, but that is the established procedure for this type of issue.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
