I'm writing this to warn other parents about my terrible online shopping experience. We ordered a pair of glasses for our 12-year-old, but he said he had trouble seeing with them. A trip back to the doctor confirmed the pupil distance (PD) was incorrect because the website simply assumed an adult value instead of prompting us for it. My direct feeling after trying to get this fixed is that you will never be able to reach a human at glassesusa and have a real phone conversation if you call them, so plan on frustration if your glasses are not correct. Email interactions are too slow, causing the process to drag on. This whole ordeal forced me to engage with their customer service, which was a battle in itself.
Customer: I've been trying to resolve an issue for days. You made my son's glasses with the wrong pupil distance. Your site just assumed a value. CS Rep: I am very sorry to hear about the issue with your son's glasses. Can you please provide me with your order number and the correct PD?
Customer: It’s order #54321. The correct PD is 58. Why wasn't I prompted for this? And why does it take days to get an email response? This is incredibly frustrating. CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the error and for the delays you've experienced. I see the problem on my end. We can remake the lenses with the correct PD at no charge for you.
Customer: Fine, but how long will that take? Does that mean my son has to go without glasses while we wait for you to fix your mistake? CS Rep: To process the exchange, you will first need to mail the incorrect pair back. Once we receive the return, we will begin production on the new pair. I understand this is an inconvenience, and we will expedite the order.
